A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Erbil Polytechnic University and Garmian Polytechnic University.

Professor Dr. Edrees Mohammed Tahir Herki, Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University, welcomed Assist. Prof. Dr. Chia Mohammed Hassan, Rector of Garmian Polytechnic University.

 

During a meeting attended by the Assistant Rectors of Erbil Polytechnic University, several directors of the university, and the Director of Public Relations of Garmian Polytechnic University, discussions were held on developing academic and scientific relations between the two universities.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuous cooperation to improve technical and vocational education and support the labor market in the Kurdistan Region.

After the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Erbil Polytechnic University and Garmian Polytechnic University by the Rectors of both universities.

The MoU aimed to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperation, including joint scientific research between lecturers and researchers, exchange of experience and staff in different administrative, technical, and academic fields, organization of joint conferences, seminars, and workshops, development of academic programs, and mutual use of laboratories and campuses.

At the end of the meeting, both Rectors expressed their hope for the success of this joint step and stated that such agreements would help advance technical education in the Kurdistan Region.

After a meeting attended by Assist. Prof. Dr. Botan Majid Asangar, Assistant Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, along with several staff members from the university and the center, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two sides.The aim of this step was to strengthen the university’s connection with the labor market and create more opportunities in this field.

The MoU focused on providing practical training for the university’s students. For this purpose, 50 students from the Colleges of Technology, Technical Engineering, and Computer Engineering Informatics participated in a two-month training course in Solar Systems, Automation, CAD/CAM, and Digital Manufacturing.

As part of the training, the students became familiar with the laboratories and equipment related to these fields. A group of participants was also prepared as trainers so that these courses could be repeated in the future for the benefit of other students.

Erbil Polytechnic University and MAPCOM Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding for environmental research, surveying, and geology.

A delegation from MAPCOM Company for Environmental Research, Surveying and Geology, headed by Engineer Mohammed, Executive Officer of the company, and Eyad Abdulrahman, a board member, visited the Presidency of Erbil Polytechnic University. They were welcomed by Professor Dr. Edrees  Mohammed Tahir Herki, Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University, Assist .Prof Dr. Botan Majid Asangar, Assist Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, and several members of the University Council.

After a joint meeting, Erbil Polytechnic University and MAPCOM Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding for environmental research, surveying, and geology.

 

 

The Rector of the University participated in the celebration of the National Day of Russia.

Upon the official invitation of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in the Kurdistan Region, a delegation from our university, headed by Professor Dr. Edrees Mohammed Tahir Herki, Rector of the University, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, Director General of the University Research and Scientific Development Center, participated in the ceremony commemorating the National Day of the Russian Federation, which coincided with the anniversary of the victory of the former Soviet Red Army over the former Nazi regime of Germany.

 

A number of senior officials of the Kurdistan Region and consuls of other countries attended the ceremony. The university delegation was welcomed by Maxim Rubin, Consul General of the Russian Federation in the Kurdistan Region.

It is worth mentioning that the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in the Kurdistan Region had a good relationship with Erbil Polytechnic University, and both sides worked to establish and strengthen the university’s ties with Russian universities.
